Cheryl Beckel


Cheryl Beckel provides retail merchandising and repositioning advisory services to development and institutional owners nationally.  With over 20 years of experience, her knowledge in merchandise plan development and leasing has created value for community, lifestyle, urban and resort retail projects throughout the U.S.  

Cheryl previously served as a Vice President of Leasing for Madison Marquette, where she was responsible for leasing assets on the West Coast.  She worked on several development projects for Madison and its clients including Kukui’ula Village (Kauai, Hawaii), International Marketplace (Honolulu Hawaii), Pacific Place (Seattle, WA), Park Place (Irvine, CA), Centerpoint/ASU (Tempe, AZ), The Triangle (Costa Mesa, CA), Paseo Nuevo (Santa Barbara, CA), Bay Street (Emeryville, CA), District La Brea (Los Angeles, CA) and individual buildings on Melrose Avenue (Los Angeles, CA).Prior to joining Madison Marquette, Ms. Beckel was a leasing representative for General Growth Properties, responsible for overseeing three regional malls in Arizona, performing all leasing functions, creating merchandising plans and three year rolling budgets for each project.

Prior to working for General Growth, Ms. Beckel was a Regional Leasing Manager for Glimcher Realty Trust where she was responsible for leasing over 24 regional and super-regional shopping malls across the country, including several development projects.

Cheryl is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelors of Science in Marketing and Transportation/Logistics and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
